2 Years Old

November 28th, 2011 . by Melissa

Jack turned 2 on Thanksgiving this year. It seems like it was just last week we were driving home from the hospital on Thanksgiving morning with our brand new, 2-day-old baby. I feel like we have come so far as parents and Jack has come even farther as a little man! I was thinking about all that he has accomplished in his 2 years so far, and it’s pretty impressive.

Some notables:

He can walk, and run!

He sleeps in a big boy bed (most of the time!)

He can pee and poo on the potty (when he wants to).

He can brush his own teeth.

He can chug a sippy cup of milk in under 30 seconds.

He can say over 100 words and uses 3 word sentences.

He has learned a few manners, and usually says his “pleases” and “thank yous.”

He helps put away his clean laundry.

He can almost ride his tricycle by himself.

He can count to three (sometimes four).

He can say the first three letters of the alphabet.

He says prayers.

He can sing the last half of “Ring around the the rosy.”

He has been on 19 flights.

He has been to 4 countries.

We are so proud of our little Jack Jack and all that he has done in his short little lifespan. I can’t wait to see what this next year brings for him!
