Maternity Skirt

August 8th, 2011 . by Melissa

I can never seem to find a comfortable maternity skirt that is reasonably priced, cute, knee-length, and the right size. So, I decided to make my own. Here’s the tutorial I used in case you want to make your own, too! It was fairly simple to create and all in all it only took 4 hours. I do suggest checking out the book she recommends in the tutorial, Sew What! Skirts. It was extremely helpful and totally free from my local library! I tested the elasticity of the maternity band and  I think I will be able to wear this skirt through the 9th month…unless I’m  having twins and then we have bigger problems. :)

Super cute Melissa! Now that I am officially done with school I am going to start sewing lots in the next few months! I may have to try this one out!

Thanks, Andrea! You totally should! It’s very easy and you can choose whatever fabric you like!
