Welp, these days all I have time for are picture posts. But a small bit of good news that should help my quality (and frequency!) of blogs: I’m quitting my job. June 20 is my last day. I am moving on to bigger and better things, Thing 1 and Thing 2 to be exact…my children. It’s been a long time a coming. I am really looking forward to spending the summer with them. We have kite flying, water fights, cookie making, picnics, and so much more to look forward to. Cannot wait!
Now, here’s an old fashioned albums worth of photos, as promised.
Jack’s photography…nice bokeh, eh?
He loves the penguins!
Cadence loves the pouty face.
My two little birdies.
Alvin came to visit! And his parents, too :)….but I didn’t manage to get a photo of all of us.
Little Miss scoping out the competition at the community Easter egg hunt.
Guess who’s 30!! And guess who picked out the cake!
Alice and Cadence, they’re practically BFFs when Cadence isn’t pulling Alice’s hair out.
Jack on “the hunt.”
Cadence thoroughly enjoying Daddy’s birthday cake. (WOW, these pictures are SO out of order, just keeping you on your toes!)
Jack digging in; like the Smurf-stache?
Somebody got a soccer ball for Easter!
She was good, she would grab 3 eggs at a time like it was nothing!
Wonder what Daddy got for his birthday?
Here we are!
And another egg hunt in our yard.
Cadence…falling or jumping?
Dying eggs in shaving cream. This didn’t really work – PIN FAIL, but at least our eggs smelled like a nicely groomed gentleman.
Marmie Lane came for a visit!
And then she got really sad when she had to leave.
We all got sad.
Cause she’s pretty great.
Cute mother, son, grandaughter, grandson moment, huh?
Hey! That’s me! Jack took this one. He’s getting pretty good with the camera, eh?
And then she started doing the “duck-face”. 15 months going on 15 years.
We love the garden. It’s not yielding much yet but my strawberries are getting close!!
Sometimes, Cadence is a little impatient with the plants and just goes for the dirt.
Things get a little crazy here.
And sometimes we just peacefully play in the sand.
Which lasts about 5 minutes and then we are beating up on our big brother.
Or fearlessing scaling the bathroom cabinet.
Little Miss Farmer.
Jack the pilot.
Cadence the jockey.
Look at that sibling love, sharing a stool to brush their teeth together.
Cadence loving shoes; all shoes, even big boy shoes.
Another with Alvin! What a sweetie pie.
Jack and his girlfriend Whitney. They grow up so fast, don’t they?
